Your story
Maybe you dread going to work every day . . . or maybe you just have a nagging feeling that it’s time for the next thing.
Maybe you lie awake at night wondering if you can be happy . . . or maybe you just look at your life occasionally and think, “is this it?”
Maybe you wonder how you could possibly get through one more day . . . or maybe your days are fine, but you don’t have enough time for the novel you want to write.
Maybe you’re worried of losing financial security and the comforts of a clearly defined path . . . or maybe you’re just not sure how to go about deciding what’s next.
Maybe you don’t like your job . . . or maybe you just know you can contribute more, have an impact, do something great.
Either way, you feel stuck and are ready to create a positive change in your own life. I believe that you can live your best life by aligning what you’re doing with your purpose and courageously taking action. My mission is to help you create the life you want to live, to ignite the spark within you to do what you’ve been dreaming of and to trust yourself to take the leap and pursue your dreams by making meaningful transformations in your life.
My Story
I am Vietnamese by birth, Aussie and British by choice. I am a traveller, an explorer, I embrace change and welcome challenges. I am a high achiever, I worked hard and graduated top 3 in my university and started my career in a Big 4 consulting firm.
I moved to London and London taught me that I didn’t have to be bound by the stereotypes of my race, it was my awakening. I could be Asian and have an opinion. I could be an Asian female and have a voice. I built a career as a change and transformation leader, leading diverse teams across different industries and companies ranging from start-ups to large global entities, setting strategic vision and delivering transformation programmes that achieve business outcomes with operational excellence.
At some point, between girl-meets-boy and kids, I had lost my path. As a working mother I felt torn between my role as a mother and my career. So I stopped working and soon felt worthless. There are no performance appraisals, rewards or recognition or pay for being a full time stay-at-home mother and it didn’t suit me. I went back to work and soon felt lost again, the work I was doing didn’t feel meaningful to me despite my great accomplishments. I started to feel guilty for feeling miserable when I had done so much professionally. What was wrong with me?
Then in 2014 my middle child got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease where her body stopped producing insulin and my world came crashing down. All self-pitying thoughts went out the window, I stopped working and spent the next 12 months consumed with caring for my daughter. When I finally found the head space, I returned to work but found that I had lost my confidence. And then coaching happened! For the first time in a long time I felt seen, my coach helped me start to move forward on my own path. I was blown away by the impact that coaching had in my life and I wanted to create a life where I evoke transformations in others.
For me, it is a natural complement to my long standing career in organisational transformation and change. I have trained and in certification as a co-active coach at the Coaching Training Institute, the gold standard in coaching. I have studied with other renown coaching experts like Marcia Reynolds, David Peterson and David Goldsmith and trained with WBECS (World Business & Executive Coach Summit) on executive leadership coaching. I am trained in Positive Psychology and have used all of this to develop my own coaching approach.
